May 2011

We flew from Xi'an to Shanghai and explored three main areas of interest in the city. The Old City embodies traditional Chinese culture with its narrow alleys, bustling markets, and ancient temples. Here, you can also find the exquisite Yu Gardens. The former concession areas, previously administered by the French, British, and Americans, showcase the Bund, a waterfront promenade adorned with grand colonial structures. On the east bank of the Huangpu River lies Pudong, Shanghai's newest district, a vast hub for both business and residential developments, featuring several museums and some of the world's tallest skyscrapers.
