I made a brief visit to Jeju Island right before a typhoon hit. As Korea's largest island, Jeju is renowned for its beach resorts and its volcanic terrain, featuring craters and cave-like lava tubes. The island is also famous for its female divers who skillfully harvest abalone and other seafood from the chilly sea without the use of scuba gear. |
