The journey commenced in Lithuania, where I explored the dynamic and efficiently compact capital, a significant contributor to the country's thriving tourism sector. Vilnius, renowned for its baroque architectural charm, particularly within the medieval Old Town, features buildings along its cobblestone streets that showcase a rich tapestry of styles and historical epochs. From the neoclassical elegance of Vilnius Cathedral to the Gothic grandeur of St. Anne's Church, this district provides a diverse architectural experience. The only drawback was the persistent drizzling rain that persisted during my stay in Vilnius, a minor inconvenience amidst this exciting adventure.
