San Marino, a picturesque mountainous microstate nestled in the heart of north-central Italy, offered a unique experience. My journey began at Bologna airport in Italy, from where I hopped on a local train to Rimini and then took a bus to reach San Marino. The Three Towers of San Marino, an iconic sight, evoked thoughts of a smaller, European version of the Great Wall of China.
