Everything is going smoothly, like clockwork, and I arrived in Arles early in the morning. The picturesque town in southern France is a captivating tourist destination celebrated for its rich history, Roman heritage, and artistic connections. The town is famous for its exceptionally well-preserved Roman arena, Les Arènes, which still hosts bullfights and cultural events. Arles is also renowned for its association with the renowned Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, who lived and painted in the area, with various sites featured in his artworks. Visitors can explore the historic old town with its charming streets, colorful houses, and a wealth of Roman and medieval architecture. Arles' unique blend of history, art, and vibrant Provençal culture makes it an appealing stop for tourists exploring the south of France. |
