Scholar

Young H. Chun, Ph.D.

My research interest lies in the field of probabilistic modeling of managerial decision problems. Over the course of my career, I have published numerous papers on a wide range of topics, including product warranty analysis, sequential decision models, statistical quality control, product reliability, repetitive inspection plans, project management, and customer response modeling.

I am increasingly fascinated by advanced estimation methods and their applications, including empirical Bayesian method, Gibbs sampling, Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods, expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm, kernel density estimation (KDE), and artificial neural network (ANN).

A few years ago, I dedicated my time to learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so I could design my own website and online photo albums. It turns out you can teach an old dog a new trick after all!
