As we traveled by train from Frankfurt to Nuremberg, we made a delightful stop in Würzburg. Hermann Hesse once remarked, "If I could choose my place of birth, I would consider Würzburg," and it wasn't challenging to comprehend why. Würzburg is celebrated for its magnificent Residence, considered one of Europe's most splendid palaces, as well as the medieval Fortress Marienberg, both of which are testament to the city's historical and architectural grandeur. |
