☆ Nuremberg, Germany ☆

March 2018

Nuremberg, often described as a modern metropolis infused with a medieval charm, presented us with a fascinating blend of old and new. We encountered a bustling crowd gathered around the striking Gothic steeple known as the "Schöne Brunnen" or the Beautiful Fountain. According to local folklore, turning the ring left three times while making a wish is believed to bring it to fruition, adding an enchanting touch to our visit. However, Nuremberg's historical significance extends beyond its medieval allure. The city played a pivotal role as the venue for the Nazi Party Rallies during a dark chapter in history, and later, it was the site of the Nuremberg Trials, a crucial moment in the aftermath of World War II. This dual aspect of Nuremberg's history offers a profound reflection on the city's past and its place in the modern world.
