Our exploration led us to enchanting day trips to Bamberg, a city gracefully spread across seven hills at the confluence of the Regnitz and Main rivers. On Easter Sunday, we embarked on another day trip, this time to Regensburg. The Cathedral was the sole attraction open for visitors, with few tourists wandering the streets. We enjoyed a memorable lunch at the Historic Sausage Kitchen of Regensburg, a remarkable establishment that holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating public restaurant in the world, with a history spanning over 900 years. |
