Young H. Chun, Ph.D.
Since I was in high school, I've been a shutter bug - not in a technical or
artistic sense. I just love what photography does for me and my family. With a
camera, I can document my life and capture beautiful pictures wherever I go.
Those pictures remember little things, long after I've forgotten almost
everything.
I am also a travel addict. I love visiting friends and family, seeing historical
sites and natural beauties, and experiencing new cultures around the world. They
say "the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” Travel
is a great opportunity to read the world. On each page, I might find a new
taste, flavor, scent, vision, or sound that will make my world a richer place.
Traveling is a hobby for some, while for others it is a way of life.
I have traveled many less traveled places around the world, carrying only a
backpack and a camera. More than 50 foreign countries and still counting! One of
the most memorable moments was that shootings and suicide bombings by 3
terrorists killed 45 people and injured more than 230 people at Atatürk Airport
in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 28, 2016 - just three hours after I left the
airport. Life is short.
Keep on traveling!
