☆ Tirana, Albania ☆

May 2018

For four decades, Enver Hoxha's Stalinist rule had maintained a rigid isolationist stance in Albania. However, the landscape of Tirana, the country's capital, has since transformed. The city now boasts an array of buildings painted in vibrant primary colors, inviting public squares, and pedestrianized streets, making it a delightful place to explore. Despite the city's colorful transformation, concrete bunkers, once constructed to safeguard Albania against potential foreign invasions, still punctuate the country's landscape, serving as a constant reminder of its unique history and the challenges it has overcome.
